Matt Andersen is the founder and CEO of Westlake Securities, a boutique middle market investment bank headquartered in Austin, Texas. Over more than 25 years, Matt has personally advised on more than $5.7 billion in closed transactions, spanning sell-side M&A, buy-side advisory, growth capital raises, recapitalizations, management buyouts, and debt advisory, across a wide range of industries including industrial services, technology, food manufacturing, clean energy, financial services, and real estate.
Matt founded Westlake Securities in 2003 with a conviction that middle-market business owners deserved institutional-quality advisory, and the same rigor, process, and access that larger companies had long taken for granted. That conviction has shaped everything about how the firm operates: senior-led engagements, competitive processes, and a commitment to staying at the table until the outcome is right.
Beyond transactions, Matt is the architect of the Intentional Growth framework, a proprietary advisory model for middle-market CEOs who want to build their companies with purpose, not just size. The framework is the subject of his book Intentional Growth (Fast Company Press) and a growing speaker series reaching CEO forums, Vistage and YPO chapters, and executive conferences across North America.
