Westlake Securities served as exclusive financial advisor to Buda Woodworks, an Austin, Texas-based designer, fabricator, and installer of architectural millwork and casework for commercial applications, on its sale to Montbleau Holdings, a portfolio company of Crescendo Capital Partners. The acquisition expanded Montbleau’s footprint into four large and growing Texas MSAs and added Buda to one of the largest architectural millwork platforms in the country.

Based in Austin, Texas, Buda Woodworks designs, fabricates, and installs architectural millwork and casework primarily for commercial applications, serving clients across office spaces, healthcare facilities, hospitality, and other end-markets throughout Texas. Buda had established a strong reputation for craftsmanship and quality across the state’s fastest-growing commercial construction markets.

The owners of Buda Woodworks, represented by A.P. Brashear Group, sought a transaction partner that could accelerate the business’s growth, expand its resources, and provide additional opportunities for its team, while joining a platform with shared values and operational expertise in the architectural millwork industry.

Westlake’s Role: Westlake Securities served as the exclusive financial advisor to Buda Woodworks on the sale, running the process from positioning through close, and identifying Montbleau Holdings as the right strategic acquirer for the business.

The Outcome: Buda Woodworks was acquired by Montbleau Holdings, LLC, a portfolio company of Crescendo Capital Partners and a platform that includes Montbleau & Associates and Northwest Woodworks. The combined company became one of the largest architectural millwork firms in the country, with the experience and expertise to execute the largest and most high-profile commercial millwork projects across multiple end-markets nationwide. The transaction closed in November 2023.
