Westlake hires senior investment banker as Managing Director
August 15, 2006August 15, 2006/Austin, TX - Westlake Securities proudly announces that Randy Finch joined the firm on August 15 and will serve in the role of Managing Director. Randy will focus on middle-market technology and industrial companies in Westlake's corporate finance practice.
Prior to joining Westlake, Randy was Managing Director of the Austin Office of Chiron Financial Group, a middle-market investment banking firm. While at Chiron, he was responsible for corporate finance engagements including debt and equity placements, M&A transactions and other financial advisory services.

Prior to entering the investment banking business, Randy's operational experience included a role as founder and Chief Financial Officer of GX Technology Corporation, a venture-backed company serving the oil and gas exploration industry. During his tenure at GX Technology, Randy played a key role in building the geoscience industry's leading subsurface imaging technology company from its start-up phase to an enterprise with $80 million in annual revenue and over 200 employees worldwide. He directed all corporate finance activities including raising venture capital, strategic acquisitions, balance sheet restructuring and other complex capital transactions. In June 2004, Randy negotiated and successfully executed the sale of GX Technology to Input-Output, a NYSE listed company, for $150 million.
Randy began his career at Deloitte where he served clients in a variety of industries including technology, banking, securities and retail. He also served on a special two-year assignment to Deloitte's World Headquarters in New York, where he coordinated the development, testing and marketing of the firm's internal control and fraud detection software.
Randy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting with a concentration in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. He is a member of the Austin, Texas chapters of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Technology Entrepreneurs' Exchange.
