AUSTIN, TX – August 17, 2010 – Westlake Securities is pleased to announce that Michael Ashby has joined the firm effective August 2, 2010 and will serve in the role of Vice President – Institutional Sales in the Firm’s Capital Markets Group.

Michael Ashby has over 10 years of experience in Institutional Sales and Trading with a special emphasis in high-yield securities. Prior to joining Westlake Securities, Mr. Ashby was Vice President at APS Financial and he began his financial career at Tejas Securities. Mr. Ashby holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from St. Edwards University. Mr. Ashby received his BS in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin.
